Ravenswood Manor sitework: Shared fence between neighbors
is constructed from clear cedar. Concrete walk was removed and
stone path installed. Stone pieces were salvaged from a Winnetka patio...

Ravenswood Manor garage: New single stall garage with roof deck and planters. Framing is all FSC Certified.
Concrete from old foundation and slab donated to Northside Prep. Joy Garden. Deconstructed materials from old
garage given to  Re-building Exchange. Wood cut-offs donated to the art dept. of a Skokie grammar school.
Threshold is marble from old Goldblatts building and on-grade planter boxes are 100 year old joists from a church.

Edgewater kitchen: Complete kitchen renovation including
new drywall, tile, electrical and plumbing. 75 SF of maple flooring
was replaced with vintage maple deconstructed from an old Polish disco
on Milwaukee Ave. Three new windows were installed with casing.

             

Edgewater bathroom: Bathroom renovation with walls taken down
to studs. New electrical and plumbing. New finishes including drywall,
plaster skimcoat, and tile. Marble floor tile was salvaged from the old Goldblatt's
building on Chicago and Ashland, cleaned and reinstalled.

              

Wilmette bathroom: Bathroom renovation with walls taken down
to studs. New electrical and plumbing including in-floor heating system.
All new finishes including drywall, beadboard wainscotting, and tile
floor and tub surround. All new plumbing and electrical fixtures, medicine
cabinet, and accessories.

            

       

       

                 


                

Ukrainian Village garage: Entire structure built from recycled
wood members. Framing was cut down from salvaged joists. Green
roof will be installed. Rainscreen wall with trellis in progress.
Rainscreen constructed from re-claimed cypress pieces, individually
singed.

Andersonville bathroom: Renovation including installation of
floor tile, plumbing fixtures, and skim coat plaster. Sinks were from
an old grammar school and one was installed lower for young children.

          

Lakeview bathroom renovation: Scope included selective demo,
electrical, plumbing, drywall, tile, finish carpentry, fixture installation,
paint and finishes.

                            

                            

Edgewater Kitchen: Design/build renovation down to studs. New electrical and
plumbing. Window casing stripped and reinstalled. Maple flooring from 1894
house in Milwaukee installed and finished. Zero VOC paint applied. Glass tile
installed at kitchen backsplash and radiators refinished. All drywall scraps
donated to Northside College Prep. High School for landscaping water retention.

                             

             

South Loop penthouse renovation: 
Limestone installed on floor and walls of bathroom. Drywall repairs and paint.

Streeterville townhouse renovation: Marble tile and slabs in-
stalled on floors, walls, and ceilings of three bathrooms and
foyer floor. Extensive drywall patching and repair.

                                         

Residential porch renovation: The deconstruction of a house owner by
a Japanese watercolor painter resulted in the saving of a large window 
which was reinstalled in the wall of a back porch renovation. Cement board
siding was salvaged as excess from a construction site and vinyl siding
refashioned from exterior banner/signage.
